Methodology
How this record is built
Trust through visible method. These are the rules every entry follows.
What this site is
A neutrally-voiced record of public accusations of democratic-backsliding and institutional undermining involving the Trump administration. It records who accused whom of what, and what the accused party said back. It renders no verdict.
What is included
Public accusations made on the record by or against public institutions and public officials: courts, federal agencies, inspectors general, Congress, state officials, foreign governments, public companies, bar associations, and major news organizations acting in their institutional capacity.
What is excluded
Rank-and-file employees and private citizens are not named. Anonymous sourcing is not the basis for an entry. Opinion, speculation, and social-media commentary are not recorded unless issued in an institutional capacity. Allegations of purely personal misconduct unrelated to institutional authority are out of scope.
How sources are chosen
Primary documents come first: statutes, court opinions, executive orders, agency notices, and official letters. Secondary reporting is cited only to attribute an on-the-record statement. Each entry links to its sources, primary flagged as such.
Voice
Every entry is written in attribution language: “X accused Y of…” The site never writes “Y is undermining…” The accused party's response appears on every entry, or the entry states “No response found as of [date].”
Status labels
Each entry carries one of five statuses — Alleged, Disputed, In Court, Ruled, Resolved — defined on the home page. A status describes procedural posture, not guilt or innocence.
Corrections
Errors are corrected in place with a dated note in the corrections log. Substantive corrections are also reflected in the entry's response field. We do not silently rewrite the record.
A note on this preview
The current entries are illustrative placeholders written from public, on-the-record framing to demonstrate structure and voice. Each will be replaced with a primary-source-backed record before publication.
